Hi all. Thought I would join the forum as I pick up my Q5 2.0l TDI S-line on Saturday.

Just found you whilst trawling the internet for an Audi Q5 forum.

I have just placed a deposit with Watford Audi for my new Q5, it will be LHD and for my house in France. They have told me it will be available end of May - so much for a recession on the Audi production line!!!! Mind you Watford Audi are happy - I had to leave a 20% deposit

before they would take the order.

I still drive around the roads of the UK in my Noggy Blue RS4 which I bought new in November 2000 (10th birthday this year).

I am an active member of rs246.com and competed in the RS challenge in Hockenheim with Audi a couple of times

Kaine - are you the same kaine that is on rrsport.co.uk? The wife banned me from getting a RRS TDV8HSE even though we could have a new LHD one by the end of March saying it was too much of a lump
Still the Q5 was my first choice and it was only the build delay that prompted me to look elsewhere

I'm in Essex and have been quoted June/July delivery.

I had been quoted 1st week June for delivery when I placed my order, although yesterday I emailed my dealer to confirm the order was accepted by Audi and was on the list. They have come back to me with an "unconfirmed week 9" and delivery for mid April (fingers crossed).
I think the dealers are being cautious so that when they say it is only 12 weeks you cheer!!

Thanks but I think it will be June as I want the Special Edition that can be ordered now but earliest delivery of that is 1 March. Is that what you have ordered or normal S-Line?

What Dealer have you ordered from? I am talking to Audi Bexley

Looks like you have ticked nearly every box

I was told that Hill Hold Assist was only useful on manual cars and not needed on auto's. Unless someone know different

In response to the hill hold assist,it is very useful, you leave the car in drive and with the hold assist on the car stays stationary when you come to a stand,no need to select neutral and when you press the accelerator the car moves off as normal. Good piece of kit for ?45.

I also have hill hold assist and find it very useful, particularly when towing around the South Downs.

I'm taking delivery of my Q5 next Monday and have ordered 19" wheels and I'm now regretting it and wish I'd gone for 20", can anyone reassure me that I've made the right choice or should I be looking to get these changed post delivery ?

titch - welcome - don't worry to much - I think the Q5 looks great on 19's

When ordering I think it would be simpler to tick the options you don't want

Joking aside would you mind telling us how much it set you back. I could probably try using the configurator but the list is fairly long

Please make sure you check out the "S line Special Edition" as rob pointed out. A good saving to be made there.
