No I do not and will rather not persue this as my next project - simply because the car is driven 99,99% around town (getting kids to and back from school etc). In fact - I do not even recall ever using high beams

I have High Beam Assist and not use it many times...

About the plate licence lights, it's simple. Just bought this part:

2x 4G0 943 021

Then you need to make or buy these adapters:

The Result are great:

Elberoth,

Great mods and great topic. Thanks for all descriptions and info. For now this mod is not in my plans, but I love to solve the jitter issue of my headlights...

Hey there I was just wondering if you can let me know how to hook up the coder or where I go about hooking it up for that matter.
I just ordered the adapter and coder from kufatec to help with my tail light swap.
Thanks
Tails are a breeze. You can replace them yourself in 10 minutes. Each tail light is held in place with 3 screws. Very easy access. On the DIY scale from 1 to 10, I would give this mod 2.

Sockets do not fit, but suitable Kufatec adapter fixes the problem.

After the install, the ligfts need new coding. You can either visit some local shop, or get that OBD coding dongle from Kufatec:

Elberoth,

One question, do you notice any improvement of the light quality with the 2013 headlights? Thanks in advance!

Hi there Elberoth.

Ive been trying to get hold of you through private message, but no response.

So i'll try to write here.

I have order my whole package of facelift headlights through Europrice, and these are the following parts that I have.

I wanted to do this by myself, but it seems like I will let Audi do this for me.

Why? Cause I don't wanna mess things up.

I was told by Europrice that there was no need to take off the front bumper. But I don't see this as possible??

Also, I don't have this part:

Is it important?
Please reply asap, cause I'm dying to install this now. I have done many mods on my car, and this is the final one. Just want to get it done.

myq5anddoha,

For what I have seen and trying in my Q5, it's impossible take off the headlights with the front bumper in is place...

Yeah, I understand that now.

But there are so many more problems. If I want to do this myself, I have to know how to disconnect the battery (is that necessary?), remove the front bumper, and a bunch of other not so easy newbie stuff... Hate this sh*t.

It is the challenge which makes the end result even more satisfying for the DIY enthusiast.
I agree.
But you know, my car doesn't have a single scratch on it, and I know that it's an easier job for a workshop that have 2-3 mechanics, then I, a newbie, on my own. I don't wanna risk to screw something up.

But I haven't given up on trying to do it myself yet. It turns out that Europrice missed to send me the small screws and clips that are needed. So it will take them a week to send me them. In that week, I can read and prepare myself to maybe do it myself.

Now, I'm trying to figure out how to pop that damn clips from the front bumper cover. Anybody know??
There are 8 of them. I know that you must stick something in the middle of it, and then pop it somehow. I don't wanna break it, so I m asking. HOW?

Hello!

I have got this DIY in AW, maybe could help you:

Hi Migsan and Thank you!
Really needed!

But this is the non-sline bumper, that I guess has many more torx screws? You have the s-line bumper lying there, so you can check. I mean, point 3,4,5 is not necessary on the S-line bumper, right? Am I right?

Btw, does anybody know how to contact this Elberoth guy? I really need his advices and help.

Thanks man. I appreciate all your help. I'm waiting for some small parts that were missing and then I will start the covnertion. Maybe i'll get them in one week, so I have to learn as much as I can about how to do this.

Audi Qatar didnt want to help me, since the harnesses were not "Audi original" and bla bla...

I need to find Elberoth!
