My was fitted by the dealer, so it was fun when I took it out for first time, then had to remember how it went back in...

I find it easiest to fit the roof mounts first

1) fold down the back seats and fit them with the mounting points facing towards the boot.
2) Then put the guard in from the boot, bottom of the guard in first.
3) Lightly screw in the top mounts, to hold the guard in place.
4) From the back doors, hook the 's' shaped mounts through the d rings in the boot floor and line them up with the bottom of the guard.
5) tighten up all the screws.

If this doesn't help I'll post some pics...

Thanks for that. Haven't got my car yet so not sure how easy it is but sounds pretty straight forward.

My dealer fitted it, but I've had it in and out 3 or 4 times - first couple of times I was all thumbs about it but you soon get the hang - at the end of the day its 2 hooks at the bottom and 2 thumb screws at the top.

My longitudinal divider is another 5 thumb screws to fix it to the transverse guard top and bottom - this bit is very easy to get in/out which is handy for when you want the whole boot (don't think you went for that bit though?).

The fact the transverse part has the 'door' in it allowing you to still through load on the left side means you very rarely have to remove the guard anyway. The only times I have it was due to going to a car show for it to be on show stand, and when I picked up a mates 50 inch TV.

The guard is all one piece and then there are two flat type brackets, is this all I should have received? Can't try it in a car for another month so I'm keen to know I have the complete item.

Should be the one piece transverse guard.
2x Flat pieces that attach to the top and have a pin looking thing that will go in the pre-prepared holes in the roof. There is a small thumb screw on each to attach it to the guard, and I think a larger one that is what goes into the roof slot (circled in red).
2x Funny hooky looking bits that attach to the bottom of the guard and the hooky ends will go through the loops in the boot floor. These have 2 small thumb screws each to attach them to the guard (circled in green).

Naff pics as they are just what I have from when I initially got the car. Can take some more.

I only have the two flat type brackets, these have a thumb srew knob on one end and the other looks like it slots in somewhere although there is also a hole, no extra thumb screws - am I missing this?

Also no hooks for the bottom of the guard, is there any difference in the guard for an earlier Q5 and a facelift model? THere is a part number on it.

Guy seemed very genuine and assures me its all there but doesn't sound like it is. Problem is I have at least a month until the car arrives so it will be too late then to raise any dispute.

Some up close pics of how it connects into roof and floor would be great Jose if you can do that.

I will brave the rivers pouring from the sky and get some pics of the brackets after work

Pop down to the local dealer and ask to borrow a boot!

Hi all.
Does anyone know the part number for this at all?
Dealer in Australia knows nothing about these

Sent from AutoGuide.com Free App
From the UK brochure...
Transverse - 8R0017221
Longitudinal(divider) - 8R0017222

As a completely separate note; from pasting these from the brochure it carried the font formatting and Audi have their own font 'Auditype'!

The two flat brackets are used (one either side) to secure the dog guard to the slots in the roof lining. You'll find that they pair with the top corners of the guard itself using one thumbscrew each side.
The hooks for the bottom of the guard link between the parcel carrying metal hoops in the boot floor (one either side and circled in green as per Jose's picture)) and the forward facing part of the dog guard itself. There should be two plastic-headed thumb screws screws used for each side.
In a nutshell, if you've got two flat brackets for the top, two for the bottom (sort of S-shaped) and six thumb screws in total, you've got all you need.
Finally, the guard itself fits all Q5's irrespective of age. Mine was originally purchased for a 2009 model and works fine with the latest 2013 edition.

Cheers guys. I only have two flat brackets each with a thumb screw but no screws for the other ends of these bars. Also no S shaped brackets for the bottom of the guard.

Cross email has been sent.

It was bought on ebay and guy confirmed more than once it was complete, what remedies do I have ?

If the seller doesn't play ball, you can easily raise a dispute stating "item not as described". They will investigate and prompt the seller to find a solution. Worst case, you can send it back and get a full refund, including the return postage costs.

These days, ebay is heavily biased in favour of the buyer.

No reply to the email yet which is a bit strange as he previously replied very quickly. I do have a mobile number but not sure I can be bothered talking about it, would rather do it by email for now.

How long should I leave it before raising a dispute?

Cheers guys, I have contacted Audi to see if the parts can be bought on their own but I very much doubt it. Googled the seller and turns out to be a car dealer so they have just removed it from a car they sold, whether all the parts were there or whether they left some parts in the car no one will know.

Some up close pics or fitting instructions from any of you guys would be great as without ever having had a Q5 I'm a bit in the dark. I assume the flat brakets screw into the roof do they? There is a threaded hole in one end but I dont have any thumb screws for this connection. Only have a thumb screw in the other end of this bracket.

Here's some pics, 2 fittings at the bottom;
