I prefer the design of the SQ5 over the Evoque, simply because I never liked semi-spaceship designs

A smooth modest looking car with unexpected power is all I need

Today I was parked next to an Evoque; the SQ5 (to me) looks more like a massive car, the Evoque more like a toy

The lowering of the SQ5 does result in a car that is hardly higher than a standard car, so you better don't expect to sit high

Fantastic picture!!!
Not hard to find an Evoque to park next to!
Just read on the Evoque forum 1 member on his trip today from Broadstairs to Canterbury spotted 14 Evoques. Confirms latest Autocar report that they are becoming 10 a penny. Best bit he was excited about this. What resale value!!!!

Thanks RobinT - what a great image.

I'm going with 20" wheels for our SQ5, would have probably stuck with 19" if they'd been available, but the facelifted car on 20" seems better than our 2009 S-Line on standard 19" alloys

After driving the SQ5 today at the dealers with standard 20" alloys i was quite surprised how soft the ride really is, i was expecting it to be quite harsh, im so looking forward to the 21" ive ordered as i do feel they look at lot better and they cant be that much harder on the ride !! does any one have any results on ride for those who have collected cars with 21" alloys ??

21s in my opinion are fine. Little bit of tyre roar but a very acceptable firm but not harsh ride. You will need to be on serious pothole avoidance though!

yeh pot holes - the roads around here are terrible even on the main roads which has caused me to stick with standard wheels. I much prefer the 21" design, it's a shame audi don't do that in a 20" wheel. All the 20" wheel designs have been around a long time and it would nice to have the latest wheel. I'd also like a darker grey wheel to go with the black styling pack. But after having many cars with very low profile tyres and no matter how careful we are they always end up kerbed I don't want the added risk of pot hole damage as well.

plus im 110% sure she'd mangle them on a kerb.
LOL at this. I know this is going to happen I just have to remember to remain calm and remember this is the family wagon not my toy

Although I mentioned in my first posts after driving the SQ5 that I found it pretty hard, most people who have been driving with me consider the ride still very OK

I was driving air suspension for many years, so probably that is why I personally feel the ride is hard, even with 20"; but please read the comments of all drivers before making a decission

I have the 21" and am hyper vigilant most of the time due to our totally crap roads in Australia, I am thinking about of 19s or 20s for when I go adventuring, probably BBS CH-R or OZ Dakar. I have also seen a pic of an A3 Sportback with the same design as the 21" but I'm guessing they were 19' or 20".

As noted previously the 21" design in 19" or 20 " would be ideal.
Regards,
GF

They are 18s on the S3 - shame as they would be nice to have in a 19 for winters!

I've just noticed this...Robin in Belgium it looks like your wing mirros are different to ours in the UK? Yours are more shiny, ours are more matte looking? Anyone else notice this?
