I am sure Newbury had a 3.0 tdi for sales recently in a brown colour and very high spec for about ÂŁ40K. It was why I went for the bigger engine

At last the excruciating wait is coming to an end. Dealer has just confirmed delivery for next Thursday (9th Jan). New car detail is booked and new buckets, lambswool wash mitts and micro-fibre drying towels ordered in readiness (much to Mrs Haddock's amusement

). Resisted the temptation to upgrade the order to an SQ, but really looking forward to my SUV initiation in a Q5.

Wicked color and gr8 spec, just in time 4 the snow 👻

Very good news, can't wait to hear all about it

Really pleased for you. Just in time for more bad weather. Best wishes for 2014.

One more sleep till the big day tomorrow....excited! Now, the thing is, when I ordered the car and was told it would be a Jan delivery I started to think how much fun it was going to be testing it out in the winter snow. I certainly wasn't expecting 12 inches of River Thames to be flowing past my front door on the day of delivery. Thank goodness the wading depth is around 18 inches (something I never really considered when choosing the car).

How much fun am I going to have tomorrow?

Good luck and happy driving.

+1 for the Q5 over the SQ5 there! We only get 7 inches!

You'll love it - such a confidence inspiring drive.

ANDD? How is it?!! Pictures pleased!

Apologies for the delay Chaps, been a bit preoccupied with the arrival of the Q5 together with a great deal of River Thames where it shouldn't be (Thats our road in the photo!). Anyway, first impressions.....a very nice car indeed! I'll post a more considered review in a few days time once I've had an opportunity to put a few miles on the clock, but for now here are a few scabby iphone snaps from delivery day to be going on with.

Looks lovely, especially the leather.
Hi Captain Haddock, great looking car.
Is the leather Alabaster white, or cloudy grey?
I would say the white, but when i was looking at the specs for my Q5, it was amazing how the advertised shades looked totally different between the photo's in picing/specs guide and the configurator.
I returned to the dealership and they had a small patch example of the cloudy grey to let me see the reality.
As the salesgirl said, it was sort of inbetween what I had seen between the config and the specs guide.
I was happy to go with it, but wife and daughter said stick to the original all black, so you can probably guess the outcome of 2 females v 1 male.

Great looking car, I do like Daytona...
