The Ibis white is a 'flat' white, a bit like tippex. Still bright, but not as reflective (if that's a word)
the Glacier white is a metallic paint, don't know the technical differences, but when the sun shines on it, it positively gleams.
In dull weather, the glacier white can look a bit flat, and maybe the Ibis looks better in these conditions, though not to me personally.
The Glacier is also around ÂŁ600 more expensive.
When I started looking for a Q5, I knew I wanted white, and I took an Ibis white demonstrator car for a test drive.
On return, the salesman told me to pull into a parking bay, and happened to be parked next to a glacier white model.
When I got out and looked at the two from about 10 yards distance, i couldn't believe the difference, it was a sunny day, and the glacier white was just shining and 'almost' made the Ibis look like a cream colour.
if you get the S-line plus model, the metallic paint comes with it.
I didn't even know the names of the two colours at that time, but knew I wouldn't be buying the demonstrator and would be opting for the glacier, which i did.
You need to go to an Audi showroom and see a couple parked together outside.
