Has anyone heard or tried one? Loads of video online but nothing beats a live performance?

Yes, fitted one friday and it makes a big difference. Kufatec.co.uk sell a unit that has six sounds, very easy installation but pi55 poor instructions on its use. Its got a button that scrolls through the sounds and your supposed to be able to turn on or off the six second start up sound but i cant find how that works or even if its on (thats the pi55 poor instructions part) I think its an improvement on Audi's take on what the sound should be but I wouldn't pay £800 that some others are trying to charge for such a gadget.

I also saw the Kufatec one, and its no money at all, but wanted to make sure it actually made a difference, thank you Wilf, I'll order mine!
If you figure out how to put the start up roar in place, please let me know

I have just emailed them about it. It says on their product description that it can be turned off in the MMI and to be honest i haven't checked but cant see why or how it would be turned off there! As far as i know, only the whole sound (dynamic) can be turned off?
I will let you know if and when Kufatec reply or if i find it. It may be turned on and if so its a very soft sound, not a roar at all

Come on chaps thats too tech for me. If you like the sound feature of the SQ then for £300 i can assure you that you wont be disappointed.
Its an easy plug and play unit, it plugs in to the Audi unit which is located just below the boot floor on the left hand side. You have to remove the trim panel that is held in place by the two luggage lashing points. The switch has enough cable supplied to run to the other side of the boot and under the door sill trim and up to the bonnet release lever area.

Neither, i put it in the seat panel by the extending leg support as it cant be seen there

Tidy - was looking at this - i have a blank down by the gearstick that could be adapted with a switch perhaps so could be operated from an OEM button

Louder, i would say on tick over its at least twice as loud

Ive been emailing Kufatec about the six second power start. Apparently changing the engine gearbox between comfort and dynamic in the individual mode in the ADS operates the power start .....er NO
Never mind because i know i wouldn't have it on, but it would be nice to hear what it does

Sorry Robin i didn't think to take a photo but its a very easy job and nothing is visible when done

Right - i have the kufatec cable but cannot find where to plug it in - no instructions from Kufatec either.

Looked in the boot behind both removable trim panels at the door and cant find the unit to plug it in to. There are no similar plugs.

Based upon Wilf's description i have nothing on the left hand side other than the compressor - i lifted this and the holder and nothing under this either

Am i looking in the wrong place - Wilf any guidance appreciated.

My drive select is not done through MMI - and there is a noticeable change in exhaust tone when i select dynamic.

Managed to finally get the instructions downloaded

Bit more than 5 mins of a job though - had to dismantle the dog guard and i have that load space option instead of standard luggage points - so its was a wee faff to remove and refit

Anyway all working - bit late to be giving it a test run in the drive though

Lol even with the instructions it isn't as clear as it could be. Number 5 is the best sound, the one before the high pitched noise (they are not numbered but i assume yours starts in the same place as mine) a really deep grumble
I got to hear it as a pedestrian the other day (son in law ripped past me) and boy does it sound nice

I fitted a different kit lastnight, no button all operated through ADS, real nice deep noise in dynamic waaaay louder than stock, auto is now what dynamic was as is individual and economy is totally off.
