The price protection was to the end of may (including any build amendments), so its correct you are being given the MY14 prices.
You could always challenge it...

I ordered my Q5 in March. The question was whether the factory scheduled the build before or after wk22 (w/c May27th), in which case it would then be a MY14 build with DAB. Mine was a build wk28 which means I get the MY14 at no price increase.

I stand corrected guys...the black styling pack just came live on the SQ5 Configurator! Everyone email your dealers now! Ha Ha! We will now have this chucked on ours

The image on the configurator only changes the chrome frame around the windows... The roof bars and grill stay silver.
Not saying the configurator is correct here but would be worth confirming with a dealer what changes.
I would be particularly interested in the grill as the SQ5 has a special one with the horizontal double bars in 'S' silver.

My preference would actually be to just retrofit the window frames, wing mirror covers and the surrounds on the fogs. Assuming the latter 2 are actually changed on the SQ5 black pack.

And Jose thats a good point actually, just inspected it - only the window frames were changed. I assume this is just because they are loading it onto the configurator

I have to say i think this whole black edition is the best scam Audi ever did, "lets not bother with our signature look of striking chrome grills that stand out from the colour of the car, chrome window accents and spot lights that look like a premium car should,to finish the look off, what we should do is cut build time down and build cost by not finishing the cars off"

Oh and why don't we try and charge for it! as soon as 1 person falls for it the rest will follow" just to look different in my opinion is not always good.

Finally ill admit my first Q5 was a black edition, actually it was one of if not the first on the road- when it arrived i was totally gutted- as so much so i paid to have the chrome added by audi, cost me a bloody fortune!

I'm totally with you, i REALLY don't like the black look either, but its an option - some people with be pro, others are anti.
To me, it just cheapens the look of the car, but hey some people just like the black badge wheels thing too...

Privacy glass is more than enough for me..

With the SQ5 black edition though, are they just making the window frame black? They still haven't changed anything on their website and £330 to change the window frame to black is not worth the wonga!!
