That's fair enough but a lot of these countries don't impose a compulsory road fund tax.

Apparently it's actually not a road fund tax here anymore, it's an emissions tax but they can't even devise a credible system for what the actual emissions are, just a cynical way of exploiting the motorist to the full whilst avoiding the need to explain why so little of that revenue is invested in the infrastructure.

Mind you even when they called it a road fund they only ever spent a minuscule amount on the roads. Smoke and mirrors but the end result is the same, bent over by George and Dave!
