I don't know how to remove the seats on a Q5. On my A4 you could yank up hard on the front edge of the seat bases. There were clips that would need replacing. There are also various holes in the chassis construction which I could see when first looking at Q5's and I did have a concern about small items dropping into them.

Hi, I have purchased seat covers for my Audi Q5 2024. How do I remove the headrests please...We have been trying for days and watched so many video but nothing is working...Help!

Since my post above I've also taken delivery of a MY24 Q5. I've tried everything I can find to remove the front headrests and no joy so far

 

I'm having the same challenge. Yesterday I took my Q5 2024 to the service centre. After a few people attempted to remove the headrest, I was advised that it is not possible. This applies to the front and passenger seats only. Back seats can be removed with the ignition key.

 

Not possible to me means they don't know. If a headrest was accidently cut or mismanufactured, there's no way I can see them replacing a whole seat.

 

Might be a long shot, but on the back of the front seats, following a line down from the legs of the headrest, about 1" below the seam, if you press in while some tries lifting the headrest up.
Wondering if there is a hidden pressure release inside the seat rather than outside the seat.

 

I tried that previously after searching and looking at YouTube etc

No but my I'm due to have a new seat base for the drivers seat and I'll be asking again how to remove the headrests
