I dont know about anyone else but a rattle in a new 50k car is sooo annoying. Has anyone else had the problem in the drivers door and a solution as I cant find it and keep swerving all over the road whilst trying to look. Does not happen all the time so could it be temperature expansion contraction problem ??

Take it back to the dealer and let them sort it under warranty. I had a rattle from the dash and it turned out to be a piece of broken clip in the air vent. I would never have found it. Cured for free.

Tictacs - my wife keeps leaving half full boxes 'hidden' in the recesses of the door pockets. The buzzing sounds like a speaker has blown, does my head in - for some strange reason she thinks it's funny

My wife and daughter leave random stuff in the door pockets a lot, and its not until I'm on the motorway that I start hearing what ever it is they have left rattling or buzzing away

Back on topic - I have a little buzz in my driver side air vent. I used to think it was stuff in my door pocket, but its not. If I put my finger on the aluminium trim or the black plastic infill that surrounds the dial that controls air flow - it completely stops. Anyone know how to fix that?

I keep meaning to get the car interior cleaning products out and spray some around there in the hope that it will seep in and fill some tiny void and stop in resonating. But it only happens on certain road surfaces and at certain RPM - so fairly infrequent.

Best screwed together car I have owned in 10 years, but then I have been driving Range Rovers and Jaguars for the past 10 years!

Almost 10K miles now and zero rattles or squeaks and I live in an area with terrible roads and hundreds of speed humps.

As I said before. Welcome to the premium brand :).

I have driven many more expensive cars than my SQ5 Plus. And would never spend my hard earned cash on a JLR product.

I have driven F Types, Range Rovers, Range Rover Sports, Xf's etc...

The only new variant I have not driven is the new Disco.

JLR are still behind the German marques & really wish they would up there game.

F Pace really caught my eye. But after driving one & it would not start on day 2, I was very put off. Not to mention all issues they have had since launch.

I'm guessing you are pleased now you have got rid of the F Pace?

Rappy.

Hey Rappy!

Have to say that I loved my XKR and my V8 RRS, but more recent JLR cars have been very hit and miss.

I had two F Paces over a 10 month period. Rejected them both for full refund, so I have to say it was the cheapest motoring I've ever done!!!

I like the look of the Velar but not going anywhere near it until it's been around a year or so, and then we shall see.
