Rubyslad, Thanks for posting the video link which I found interesting as I had wondered how to deflate the tyre in order to fit back in the available boot space if I ever needed to use it. Call me Mr Thicky but the fact that it might deflate itself all the way back to the original shape never even occurred to me!

To all those without the spare - it's a bit late now but if you come to buy another car, Audi or otherwise, that only comes with a can of sealant, I suggest that you get to the point of signature and then tell the salesperson that you will not complete unless an actual spare is included. As mentioned in a previous post, that's what I did and I got one supplied free of charge - in practice, all they did was take the spare from another Q5 S Line Plus that they had in stock and swapped it for the sealant kit in mine. I guess that's a lot easier for an Audi dealer to do as chances are that they have a number of Q5s available to take the wheel from.

What is the difference between q5 18" space master part no. 8R0601027 and 8R0601011kp?

any info appreciated
First is ET36, second is ET32

I don't know if any other differences - hope to find out this weekend if ET36 is ok on SQ5

I imagine the 4mm on a space saver will make no odds, the 36 may not clear the front calipers though - yet to be established.

Updates in due course.

The ET40 one received fits the car but not the boot as it's 6.5" wide when should be 6"

They have offered to send another if wrong so will contact them tomorrow - bloody pain in the butt!

They are the same clowns you have quoted from ebay!

The ebay one mentioned for ÂŁ100 starts at ÂŁ100 and has a reserve with no delivery offered....

Ok reading into them more its not an original audi part, they get steel wheels (some saying from China) and then they are buying and fitting the tyre to it, he has 10+ of them, I guess he has not looked at the original carefully enough hence he sent you the wrong ET offsett let me know if they resolve it and give you the correct wheel,

I saw the other start bidding at ÂŁ100. ive contacted him if I can send a courier as he is not offering shipping

Replacement here - it's a genuine Audi one this time with the correct ET & width (well one of the correct ETs lol) - 'used' condition but tyre hasn't been used.

Not tried it on but clearly the supplier was - got ÂŁ15 back for my troubles - sorted in the end, if going to them via ebay I'd clarify the ET & width before buying, save yourself some hassle.

Hi guys - not too happy with the subwoofer layout in the new Q5. The last model had a handy little storage area where the jack was kept under the boot floor. Now this area is made up of a huge polystyrene tray which holds the sub and jack/tools etc. The punture kit is also in there now. Why create less storage ?? BUT - my question is -where is the locking wheel nut remover bolt and plastic bolt cap removal tool kept. Before I go back to the dealer and be embarrassed lol I have searched everywhere. It's not in the tool kit or anywhere in the boot, glovebox, centre consul, door pockets etc etc. There seems to be a cut out in the polystyrene boot tray which would hold the bolt but is empty. Any ideas guys ?

Hi Christuffley -- thanks for the reply and photo. Yup - just where I thought it should be - but the bolt holder is empty !!. Checked everywhere. I just hope some Mexican Audi employee is not coming over for a holiday and kept the wheel nut release bolt during the build, with a view to snaffle my alloys lol. So it's back to the dealer to get this sorted out. If they have to force my nuts off, they better not mark my alloys. I meant the cars nuts - not mines ooooooohhhhhhh. So much for sitting in Emden getting extra checks.
