New model looks so much more balanced than the old one. Is it now about the same physical size of a Q5?
Tig is,
4486 long
1839 Wide
2099 with mirrors

Q5 is,
4269 long
1898 Wide

New one looks ok from the outside. Vast improvement over the old model.

I'm sure it will be fine, it's from the Audi/VW stable after all. I find Audi's interiors are just a notch or so better than almost anything else in the affordable category. I didn't fancy diesel again at the last change, the RS manages 32mpg actual with a little restraint so negligible difference (but does prefer Superplus 99/100).

Thanks for that I agree. Never been a badge snob personally.

They don't look as good as the new Tiguan.

Looks a bit like the next generation Q5 is going to look (from side and back view)
Glad I bought one of the last current shape

So what part is downsizing? í ½í¸Š Unless its width without mirrors that was previously too large for you?í ½í¸•
The main reason was to switch to petrol had enough of diesels. Didnt realise new Tig was so big. Wife loved our previous Tig. Cant get rid of wife as I cant work the Washing machine.

Called in at the local VW garage today, friend picking up a Passat Alltrack.

Saw two of the new Tiguan's in the show room, the Rline looked quite good, not sure of some of the interior.

We waited for the new Q7/Q3 and Tiguan and then rushed to get our New Q5 order in before the shape changed. Love the interiors on the new Q's but still really like the interior on ours as well and we (wife and I) both massively prefer the contours of ours to the boxy look of the facelifts. Doesn't hurt that there have seem to have been a few inclusions on the Q5 at the moment…alcantara on the door panels….stitched leather on the armrests….not sure either were standard…could be wrong.
Anyway picked ours up yesterday and think it looks stunning….

Had a go at the configurator for the Tiguan.just over ÂŁ40000 with nearly all options.
