hallo, I have been follwing the instructions and activated the ADS, the problem is that now I get the error regardign the automatic light heigh taht is reported to ba faulty and the lines in the back camera display that do not came out every time...

Sorry, have no idea what you have done, which instructions did you use?

ADS doesn't impact any of those systems - back out the changes you've made and try again.
No doubt you recorded the controller values before you started messing/changing settings?

other option is to take the car into Audi and ask them to hook it up to their VAS system and run a diagnostic.

I pick up a new SQ5 in June, I've not chosen the drive select system. If I retrofit it myself will it affect my warranty?

I believe all you need to do is activate it with vcds and maybe some bits in the hidden menu on the mmi. I am not sure about the warranty but you can always deactivate it before you take the car for servicing etc.
My brother has vcds and used it to allow my Dad's Q3 mirrors to auto fold. He told his dealer and they said if it did affect warranty it would only be the mirrors themselves so not really an issue.

You're not retro fitting - you are simply activating a software function that already exists.
if you put the switch in and mess the wiring up no normal person would expect Audi to pick up the bill.

Thanks to everyone who has made this hreat post but I am struggling a bit. I am trying to activate ADS on my 2014 Q5. I can't access the hidden menu. I have tried pressing for 6 secs CAR and MENU buttons but no success. Any ideas?

Fixed. I started the car and switched off, ignition on then menu accessed. Thanks again.

I am also trying to close the tailgate buy using the remote key. I need to access module 6D Trunk electric. does anyone have the security code. I have done this on the A7.

After activating Drive Select through VCDS on my new SQ5 using the instruction in this post, and in particular using this link http://www.audienthu...Com_FL_ADS.html I have one outstanding issue that I was hoping one of you knowledgeable guys may know the fix to

Note I have MMI access to DS settings (efficiency, comfort, auto, dynamic and individual) by setting 47 into adaption channel 66.

The manual (page 126) states that "your settings in individual mode are stored automatically and assigned to the remote control key currently in use."

Whilst individual mode works fine, and I can change the settings like engine note, the settings don't want to store against the key in use. Whichever key I use the car just uses the last configuration entered for individual.

(Note I don't have advanced key, but the manual doesn't suggest this is needed)

Any ideas??? I've tried this many times making sure the keys are well apart but no success so far.

This is really irritating me so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
