Tips - pull the plastic panel from the top carefully. It's a Philips screwdriver you will need to release the light unit. Pull the light unit out carefully from the middle of the car end. Don't lever against the bodywork. Just get something that you can use to just pull the light unit out. There is a metal bit sticking into a hole in the bumper on the other end. So it swings out a bit towards that.

Got today and fitted wot a big difference . Old bulb on left and the new led on the right
quite a difference in brightness there it seems!is it much brighter at night?well done, great job.

I installed these chaps over the Christmas period - no error warning at all and they are a great super bright replacement for the frankly terrible lights that came with the car.

thank you - i'll get a set for my new Q5.

There are a lot of look-alike clones. Having a look at the last link again there is no mention of high quality Samsung LEDs (which are in mine) it might be poor quality clone or not drawing enough wattage to trick the system into think it is a real bulb.

You could have a dud one, and it needs to be replaced? Send them back and ask for a replacement.

Try plugging in the LED/bulb the other way around. Some LEDs are polarity sensitive.

Anyone know if any other LEDs have been tested. The seller sadly has no more stock of the ones listed above.

Search on eBay for same bulb type but with Samsung LEDs - lots.

I'll try swapping them around. I have just got hold of some 50w reisitors that should clear the messages up...
Could I be cheeky looking to buy some 50w resistors myself as I have some led w16w bulbs that I had fitted to my previous evoque but don't know what ohm rating to buy.

Tried them in the q5 and got an immediate error so removed. There are some on eBay that have various ohm ratings,

Thanks for reading
