Would you spec a sunroof again?

I've not owned a car more that 5 years old that had a sunroof. From threads here and elsewhere it seems that if the lubrication is maintained that there should't be any issues. I'll stand corrected from anyone that had had their sunroof equipped car for longer...

Oh and like @Justanhonestman I would and have specced a panoramic roof on my last 3 cars. The only time I might think twice was if I lived somewhere that is alway sunny. Not a problem in the UK! Though I actually love the way the car js at night with the glass roof.

BTW I have a 2014 Toyota Yaris with a fixed glass panoramic roof. All the light and airy feel benefits without an opening that needs maintenance. I think some Land-rovers have this option as well...

Hi mxnrg the previous sunroofs I had were picnic table sized roofs above the drivers compartment. Never had a problem but the full panoramic roof is a new ball game. No probs after a year and I've used it a lot during the recent good spell of weather. I find that the car is no hotter after laying in the drive on a good sunny day in the mid twenties than any other car I've jumped into. Don't know if the glass has reflective properties, but I'm happy with my choice. Thought about getting the four rings printed onto the fly screen which pops up - work in progress lol
The wind break/fly screen with Audi rings could be cool. I think I'd like it to say 'quattro' like the lower grill on the RS models

The glass on the panoramic roof definitely has some lind of coating to reduce the cabin heating up too much.
