Thinking of choosing black for my paintwork but can anyone tell me what noticeable difference there is between Panther and Phantom ?

Go see them at a local dealer, but nothing really.
I have PB and wouldn't recommend either black tbh - Lava looks great though, or Daytona is you are not going for an SQ.

Colour is a preference, what one person likes doesn't mean others will. So it not really something others can advise you on really.

Panther is crystal effect. It has green/purple properties due to the flick in the paint. It's my favourite colour in the Audi line up (when its clean!).
Phantom is just black!

My last two cars were the old black so I went for the new black and love it :)

Snowman's right. Phantom black is not just black. Close up it's an amazing colour. (Someone posted a close up on here a while ago, not sure where) flecks of greens, yellows, pinks. I thought panther had red flecks. Brilliant black is just black.
