They are made in Ingolstadt (SP) AFAIK ?

Look at this video

The guys are talking German and the computer screen is in German.

Also, people may be getting confused with this statement from Wikipedia;

Indian models went on sale in 2009-06, and were built from Audi's Ingolstadt facility. Launch models include 3.0 TDI, 2.0 TFSI (211PS).

Audi announced Q5 assembly would begin in 2010-03 in India to avoid import taxes and compete with BMW AG, Daimler AG and Porsche AG in the world's second-fastest growing major economy

IMHO - Those Indian produced cars will be for the Asian/Far East market?

Rapid - you just need to check your VIN number, if its starts W(AU) then it's made in Germany (therfore Ingolstadt).

Thanks for that,just wondered if you could tell by paperwork and what paperwork it would be my q5 is still a twinkle in audi's eye at the moment
Rapid, I have not heard or seen anything to suggest that European markets' cars are not made in Europe. I think you can get a VIN from the dealer way before car is delivered if you want to check.
