Hi Kat,
welcome to the forum.

We had an '06 A4 s-line 2.0tdi with exclusive trim on it before the Q5 (which we picked up the beginning of the week). Prior to the A4 i had a TT too, it was a '03 225 TT in glacier blue.

You won't regret trading the TT in for the Q5, it is a great car especially with the current weather conditions.

Our need for the Q5 came about due to the GFC. SWMBO took a package and we had to hand back a SAAB 93 1.8t, Holden Calais V sportwagon and an SS Commodore (6.0L V8). We're currently driving a Commodore SV6 Sportwagon (direct injection 3.6L V6 - 210kW/350Nm) as our interim car until the Q5 Arrives (this Friday). The SV6 will be on the market from next weekend and we'll be back to a one car family! When we get sick of being a one car family I think I can see an HSV Clubsport on the horizon (6.2L V8, 317kW/550Nm - What joy!)

I sold my BMW 325i back in October in anticipation of Q5 delivery in December. I've been driving the girlfriend's VW Golf GT since I sold it which is fun but lacking the prestige & comfort of the Bimmer (although handles much better in the snow)! Still, the step up to a Q5 will be even greater than if I was stepping up direct from the BMW! Roll on Friday!!!

I am currently driving a BMW 325 Coupe, which has been truly useless in this weather. I pick up my Audi Q5 2.0TDI SE on 1st March, can't wait!!

We traded my wife's BMW 325i Touring for a demo Q5 2.0TDI S-Line in October. To be fair to the BMW it wasn't too bad in the Snow last year but it was an SE specification with 17" wheels.
Only regret is we don't have the Panoramic Sunroof that we had on the BMW but we weren't prepared to wait the six months for a factory order.

Hi everyone,

We had a Lexus RX300 for 5 years and fancied a change rather than trade on for the new RX.
Must admit, the Q5 is faster, drives better, is more economical and biggest surprise.... it's quieter !!!
We've also got a Mazda RX-8 which is great fun

Cheers,

Mike.

I currently have a BMW 5 Series Tourer - big boot for baby gear. Now the little ones are growing I can down size the boot and have something I like. I fell out of love with the BMW 2 weeks after I got it, and started to hate it after a year. I would have gone for a Q5 earlier than now, but the euroNCAP results were slow out. I have given-up trying to use the BM in the snow, as a brand they are hopeless in anything slippery (due to rear wheel drive I assume), and the run flats have knocked out at least 2 of my fillings.......

Still only 7 weeks to wait to Q5 day.

I have to smile at all the people trading in BMW's for the Q5!

I'm picking up my 2.0T SE tomorrow morning having struggles with my 335d over the last few weeks. Time to prepare for a heat wave!!

Hi
My previous car was a vw Tiguan 2.0 tdi sport. It had the new common rail diesel engine but it seemed very noisy compared to the Q5 I have now which is a 2.0 tdi sline with 20 inch RS4 alloys.
It was a nice car but nowhere near as good as the Q5.The Tiguan had more standard equipment the sport at the time was the highest spec and auto hold and rear seat bench were standard as was privacy glass.
One thing I did not go for on the Q5 was pan roof, we had this on the Tiguan and it was ok but had problems with the sills causing the inside of windscreen to freeze in the winter.
Am very happy with the Q5 it really stands out and gets lots of admiring looks plus very few on the road I have only seen 1
