My Q5 suddenly presented strange behaviour
Everything started when I noticed wet carpets to the front footwells
I Immediately checked the sunroof sinks and the sunroof rubber seal which found perfectly ok
The problem is I found water leaking from the roof lining directly on to the co driver seat
To test the roof sink I opened it and emptied a whole bucket of water into it. The water gone rapidly out of the exits located behind the front door hinges
Where exactly the water came from it is really strange.
From that time on I am having strange electrical problems. The car is fully dried since that time
First, the doors are occasionally fail to unlock with the remote control although they lock without any problem
Only the co-driver's door functions properly
After few days I lost the interior lighting after I noticed a smell coming from burned semiconductor.
Then I experienced problems with the steering wheel servotronic. Sometimes I am having heavy wheel and some times it works again
Today things expected only in funny TV jokes have happened.
1. The front lights were switching on and off unconditionally (even when the car was stopped and the key removed )
2. The flash light indicators were flashing rapidly and turning light problem was shown on the display but I visually checked that the turning lights were all functioning properly.
3. When I stopped the car and removed the key the head fog lights did not turned off even after half an hour and the day driving right light was flashing
When I started the engine again, the same light tried 3 times to light and then it remained off. When switched off the engine it started flashing again
4. I locked the car and turned to go home to bring some tools to check what i could myself. When I returned I show the windshield jets spraying water (key removed - car locked).
5. The horn is not functioning
Note: Not even one fuse is burned

Then I disconnected the battery to prevent from getting flat battery

I have chosen a car based on CAN bus because I know that an electrical installation based on a bus system is fail-safe because it is a decentralised design
From the other side the last I would expect is a car like AUDI Q5 to have such a behaviour. And finally where is the famous power management system advertised for guaranteed start?
Of course I will drive the car to an authorised service specialist but since I am highly qualified electronics engineer I would like to know what is going on with my car and be able to check it myself.
Does anyone know where can I find full electrical wiring plans of my AUDI Q5 or even a complete service manual including the electrical wiring?
I have searched the Internet but I am unable to find one

I don't know if this helps but there was a big issue on the Q3 web site with pano sunroofs leaking and flooding the front. It was found to be the wind deflector. So many Q3 owners complained that Audi created a modified wind deflector which was fitted FOC on an as per required basis. They did not issue a recall.

I had water logged in my Q5 my battery was fully immersed in water I took my car to an authorized dealership and they do not seem to know how the water got into the battery compartment it seems to be a Q5 issue and I saw a lot of people having the same issue. Waiting for a response from Audi Corp need an attorney to take up my issue. The dealership says that this car could blow up with the electrical issue and I was driving around without any knowledge of the flooding

The Q3 and Q5 pano roofs have identical mechanisms. I assume that you have had regular maintenance on the roof. The Q3 site had many complaints about water ingress from the roof. The solution was some packing under the sealing rubber and a new wind deflector. This worked for all concerned. It was never issued as an Audi UK recall in any shape or form but when you took the Q3 in for a service and pointed out the leaking roof they did the update without question.
