I was told that last night when i picked up my new Q5 said we was luck to get ours so soon
placed order in feb picked up yesterday (he had to push tho and he only pushed because it is my wedding present get married in 2 weeks now i can pick my dress up )
I hope not as I may have sold my car wef next week. I was quite happy to cycle for 6 months of work and up to 10 months including hols.....but 14+ is out of order!!!! My bottom may be tender by then or ....

I make that 1st week in August. I thought Germany shut down in August!

we ordered on 6th feb and got a preliminary build date of week 26 two weeks ago but this is not and will not be confirmed to approx 6 weeks before.once we have a build date confirmed should be in our hands 2 weeks later weather permitting(hopefully the sea wont freeze).
Regarding delivery times, remember that each dealer has a quota. The ones quoting Dec/Jan or worse delivery have simply sold out their build slot allocations for Q3/Q4. This does not mean that every dealer in the country has. Of course, every one in the SE/London area has but if you go further afield to less populous/affluent areas you *can* find dealers with Sep/Oct allocation still left. Here are a couple at the moment-

With a bit (well quite a lot actually!) of effort, I managed on Friday to secure a late August build slot for delivery 1st Sept on a '60' which was a cancelled order that was still completely configurable and I got a great discount too (this was not from either of the above but I spoke ot both and they do have slots left at the moment). That's with every dealer in the SE sold out and saying that 6 months old cars are going for ?2k over list... (sure they are priced like that but are any actually selling? I doubt it)
You just need to look further afield to get what you want.

I reckon the dealer is on the wind up,he will re order your car as a new order and sell your original one to someone else.spoke to my dealer today, asked to add in blue tooth, told me it would meamn car would only be de;ivered in new year compared to my current date in Aug!![]()

Hi all, I ordered a Q5 2.o S-line on 6th Feb from Audi Worcester. News so far..............nothing. Perhaps I'll get a 2011 model; probably in 2011 at this rate! Any bets on when it'll arrive? this really is the worst commercial experience i've ever encountered, a true bloody shambles!!

Hi Dave,you ordered yours the same date as mine and i have been given an un-confirmed build date of week 26,i know its a long time but the Q5 is the second best selling audi model of all time(only second to the a4) and its only been out 2 years.So its not really a shambles just we all want the best suv out there.it will be worth the wait.

I know you're right it's just frustrating, I'd originally been told early June when I ordered so was really looking forward to a holiday in France (in the best SUV out there!). There are no alternatives to this truly 'special' model so patience, as the say, is a virtue! I am seeing an increasing number (but limited) on the road confirming that any other manufacturer is not an option! i was told no later than end of may but looking like july now should be confirmed in next couple of weeks.i was hoping to go away mid june in ours.at least it will 2011 spec

I've got a provisional build week of 28 so looks like July delivery also (I was told this might move forward). The dealer has never mentioned what spec year. Do you know what the differences are and what makes you so sure that cars delivered in July will be the new spec?i was told no later than end of may but looking like july now should be confirmed in next couple of weeks.i was hoping to go away mid june in ours.at least it will 2011 spec![]()

Hi carbon,
as for the 2011 spec i am only going on what i have been told by my dealer that is what is now being made.only thing i know is the start stop button on manuals.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realise that they started producing the next spec year so early. I've ordered the auto so I guess not much will change for me.
