A strange handover experience- more later!

First impressions:-

This 2014 version is big improvement on my previous 2011 Q5.
Full post-code recognition.
Heated seat switch does away with six options down to three - more than enough.
Flat bottomed steering wheel - more leg room.
Interior more plush - doors in alcantara/ Switchgear chromed.
Alcantara seats - breaks up the all black I'm used to.
Radio on/off now also a rocker switch to move stations etc.
Rear exhaust now single pipe but semicircular.
Switchgear around gear selector now rationalised and simpler.
MMI screen has more graphicacy.
I'm used to stop/start already.

Dislikes,
I prefer the previous LED headlamps
Don't particularly like privacy glass

Jury is still out-
Steering lighter

Delighted you've got your Q5... not sure why they went for single exhaust with 2.0 in MY2014 models, doesn't make any
sense to me!

First couple of times the Stop/Start kicked in the steering lock kicked in! Fortunately it didn't last.

Top car, looks great..

Really like the pics of alcantara/leather, I've gone for that combo as well after much deliberating..seeing yours I'm delighted I did.

Enjoy

Yeah - I was worried about Alcantara but it looks just as classy as leather. From all accounts it's quite resilient and lasts well.

Had Alcantata in my first Q5 and can confirm it is great. Warm in winter cool in summer. Looked like new when I sold the car four years later.

The steering is definitely lighter and in a lot of driving situations it feels better to me.

However I need to do a bit more motorway driving to check that out. It almost seemed to me that I had to put slight corrective inputs in to hold it on a straight line, more so than previously. It was almost as though I was moving the steering wheel a little before the wheels moved. I hope it was my imagination and/or a funny bit of the M4.

Have you tried it on the motorway yet?

Thanks all
Not had a chance to get a long run in yet but have cleaned and polished it properly.
Headlamps had a lot of condensation initially but has since dissipated.

I have tried mine on motorways and at speed (on private roads). Typical Audi, it is a bit too light and not as precise as I would like, but no other issues.

I thought that 2.0 TDI models always had a unilateral tailpipe with twin tailpipes reserved for 2.0 TFSI & 3.0 V6 models.
