After some careful planning on taking on this timing belt replacement on my 2011 q5 2.0 tdi, it is possible to carry out this task without putting in service position removing bumper and everything else..... Just Remove the lower engine cover and move the fan control unit... Then go from there, access is tight but possible to do the job. Buy a decent set of locking pins tho! All rollers, tensioner and water pump done. Job cost under £200 using skf belt kit and genuine water pump.....
