I checked the older threads but was recommended to start a new thread for this.
The 261-hp mild-hybrid 2.0-liter turbo 45 TFSI appears to be the engine in our 2022 Q5 Prestige.
The MMI showed as having too much oil when I was checking the oil after the dealer did an oil change. Unfortunately, it was a couple of months after the oil change. My bad for thinking an Audi dealership could manage an oil change in an Audi. The dealership has since adjusted the engine oil as it now shows about mid-range on the MMI. I'm a little OCD about oil levels, so letting it run like this for a couple of months annoys me. My main use for the T40178 will be to verify the initial fill and then let the MMI handle it at least while the car is under warranty.
I've got two paths I can follow, one is to get a dipstick from ECSTuning or a similar company and work around some level of imprecision but using the MMI to calibrate the scale. I might do that later, but for now, I've ordered a T40178 knockoff from Amazon. I'd like to find a chart containing accurate numbers for setting the dipstick. I've seen several charts that list a setting of 39 for the adjusting ring with 0 then being min and 24 being max. This was for 2.0 TFSI engines but no year was given. Can anyone please point me to the definite chart for setting up that stick? At least Audi does give us a dipstick tube, on my X3 there's nothing. On the BMW side, we also don't have a "Drain Oil" warning message in the iDrive system, and dealerships are known to be heavy-handed on their fills.
Any and all help much appreciated.
