I have just ordered a new Q5 for delivery in 2012 - but the dealer is pushing a paintwork treatment called Supaguard. My only experience of this sort of 'Teflon' treatment is that it is prone to 'peel' off after a couple of years. Anyone got experience or views on the worth of this 'added value' package?

It is worth having, but don't pay!! Get the dealer to throw it it for free, if he wont then you can get it done for half the price elsewhere.
The best way to describe it as I understand - if you look at your paint under a microscope is a rough surface that dirt gets stuck into....supaguard smooths out this so dirt kind of 'falls off' or sticks less!!
When it rains you can really see the difference as the water rolls off, but i'm not sure how long it lasts as mine doesn't seem to have the same affect a few weeks on!!
Had it thrown in for nothing on the Q and at BMW for my Z4. They also give you a kit with polish, leather wipes, shampoo etc.
