The only lights which are LED are the ones under the front seats which light up the rear footwell, all the rest are normal bulbs.

The LED light package has been a bone of contention to everyone who spec'd it for years. There are many threads on here about it, as well as recommendations for suppliers of replacement LEDs.

Bloody great :-(.

Like an idiot, never took note on my test drive. Even my 2 yr old VW has all LED lighting & that was 39k car new.

Looks like my first job, any suggestions, for bot the reversing & LED interior lights?

Mrs Rappy's 66 plate 26k Mini has had led headlights, interior lights etc... But I paid extra for the lighting pack.

I'm sure the spec mentioned lighting pack. But could be wrong!.

Definitely do the reversing lights, makes a huge improvement and is easy to do ..........................

Please tell me how & the type of bulbs? Have you upgraded the interior lights?

Hi Rappy, some more info on this thread (they are W16Ws by the way) and this you tube clip https://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2010_Audi_Q5_Premium_3.2L_V6/lights/reverse_light. I got my bulbs through E-Bay (or Amazon, I can't remember which).

A couple or so of things to be aware of:
  • The bolt holding the light unit in place is captive this isn't mentioned in the video; I only found out after unscrewing for ages waiting for it to drop out
    Image
  • it easy to break off the retaining tab for the bolt cover and will absolutely not glue on again

A replacement will cost upwards of ÂŁ25 for an unpainted replacement; I didn't bother it stays in place anyway.
  • Using the LEDs can (partially) kill DAB reception while they are in use; not a prob for me as I have my audio set to "off" when reversing
Hope that helps .............
