Not really, the sound is the same in comfort/dynamic
You should definitely hear a difference between those modes.
It's a poorly designed feature. They should have made the speaker spheres a separate part from the exhaust. That way only they would need replacing.
Or as i have done, made the top part of the sphere removable so you can just replace the speakers.

So i just delivered the car to the dealer. Told him that i would be able to tell him an alternative fix of the speakers, but it is a bit difficult. They cant seem to find someone to do that type of work. I told him that its really not my problem and i want them fixed.but that it is a cheaper alternative. And that if they choose to change the entire thing its their decision.
We will see how this entire thing will play out, As i said, Im not sure there is any guy out there that want to try and do it that way as this is something many havent heard of before..

Could anyone help me out with the settings on the kufatec link? Some screenshots? i do have the Module, Drive select, and also just had my car for the fix, they didnt weld the boxes, was told that a wire was corrored on the left one and that they fixed it, So ime unsure if its still the speakers thats corrored or if really its a setting thats not right. I do get connected with the module but no sound comming from the exhausts when i for example change to 6 (highest sound) on the module, ive put SQ5 qr 2014 on settings also on the car select i select Q5 qr 2013-2016 but still no sound.. getting frustrated also cant find any guy that can fix these type of stuff.. might be the speakers not sure help please guys

I would take the booster off for now. That way you will know if the speaker still aren't working. Once you get the sound when in sport mode, you can then re-install the booster.
Im just unsure how it should sound like, I cant notice any differance in sound when i put the car in dynamic and in comfort, tried multiple different settings changed.. I live in Norway and my car was taken in to my dealer that sent the car to as he called it 芦audi specialists禄 and was told that the speakers are fixed, it was raining alot so just jumped in the car and drove as it was raining alot鈥 A wire was not connect and they fixed the wire on the left side fixed the connection.. ive been telling my dealer that it needs to get welded to see if the speakers are corrored or not.. hes not really so helpful as he thinks the sound is great im right now looking up to take the car somewhere and pay for the welding and all鈥 its impossible to find anyone willing to do this for me. also nobody gets that really is speakers built in the exhaust.. also if i take my car to Audi they wont find any fix except to change the whole exhaust that will cost alot if you compare with just welding and changing the speakers

You would be in no doubt if the speakers were working. Even more so with the Kufatec.
Mode 6 is mental in my car. I mean embarrassingly loud.
Exacly, also tried the demo mode moving the logo with my finger no sound at all.. i saw a used complete exhaust on evay from the uk for sale its from an SQ5 16 but how do i know if the speakers from that exhaust works..

Then assuming the speakers are good it should be working.
You can try a electric meter across the the leads coming out from the housings. (disconnect from the supply wiring loom etc) Mine where tested and shown to be no continuity.
A working speaker should show around 4 OHMs.

I just returned from the mechanic that said he fixed a disconnected wiring (the left side) and reconnected a new wiring it was corrored. My kufatec module is not working (no sound comming when i for ex chose the 6th level of sound) that is the main reason making me assume that the speakers are dead, also i cannot hear any differance in sound from the exhaust when i change mode from comfort to dynamic. I showed the mechanic an alternative fix to weld the pots and change the speakers and he was not on the same page (reason must be because hes never done that) He was not unwilling to do this but abit sceptic. He is going to speak to the dealer i bought the car from and see if he will say.

How long since you purchased? Can you return vehicle?

Very easy to confirm if speakers are dead. Get an independent expert or take it to your nearest Audi dealer
I am very happy with the car, Its just this thing with the speakers thats messing around with my head. The car doesnt sound like a normal diesel, But it just doesnt have the sound i know it should have, Also its not so many people that have this type of car here, and the people that do have do not even know that there actually are speakers built in to the exhaust. Ive seen some A6/A7 driving around with modules installed but not an SQ5 yet.. Ive litterally tried all settings on the kufatec app also still no sound.. Changed car to the car i have on the settings changed RPM, yes you name it.. Changed settings on the MMI ln the car, mainly just because ive had alittle hope that the speakers maybe are not dead
