Noticed after getting out of the car last night, quite a strong burning smell (possibly electrical) from the passenger side rear quarter. It had only been a short drive to the station and back, maybe 6 miles.

I popped the bonnet but it didn't appear to be coming from there.

The cars done just under 400 miles in total.

Any ideas welcome?

Audi roadside assistance are on their way so I'll keep you posted on any developments.

Sounds like PDF regeneration which has been discussed a few times on this forum.

Is it strongest from the exhaust. If so, defo DPF.

Takes ~20mins of up to temp running to complete. If you stop part way through a cycle the fan will likely remain on and you will get this smell, it's particularly bad the first couple of regen cycles.

I do A LOT of short journeys so often catch it mid cycle.
If you do primarily longer runs you will likely never witness a cycle as it will do it on the move.
