Drive the Deal are showing an SQ5 on their special offers page. Monsoon Grey and very high spec on a quick read through. Discount of 7.75% and immediately avaiable doesn't sound too bad. Doesn't seem to have 21" wheels though would put me off.

Anyone thinking of ordering an SQ5 and struggling to get discount may be interested.

Not having 21" wheels is a plus point if one isn't a 21" fan Davy........

I've noticed a trend of falling broker discounts. We used to get 9-12% but 7% seems common now. Long waiting lists the cause maybe?

Funnily enough I was looking at DTD earlier. Thinking of ordering sometime this quarter but no rush and rather hoping the Macan might have tempted a few punters away.
I did notice, having plugged it in for a quote, that their discount is up to just under ÂŁ4k on the basic price (8.7%) which is about the best I've seen.

Does anyone know how to start a poll?

Would be great to do one on discount.

I got 8% direct with a dealer which I was pleased with but I would love to know if I could have got more!

A lot of it will depend on the relationship you have with your dealer but what they give with one hand they will take away with the other. If you get a good discount on the new one you are likely to get a less favourable deal on your p/ex.

OK I will start a poll, but discounts depends on when the car was orderred, so i would probably need to split it into 6 month periods. i.e. Jan to June 2013, Jun to Dec 2013 etc. What do you all think.

Discounts also depend on the overall deal - part-ex, finance, other purchase history, manufacturer support etc... Therefore, a comparison between one discount and another is fairly meaningless...

Thanks quatro. You are correct. There are too many variables, so I will give it a miss.

Discounts will also depend on whether your dealer has cars available, in my case the dealer had a build slot booked and they needed to confirm spec about a week after I ordered. Think they were keen to get my name on that car and the discount got a good bit better the more we talked.

I think discounts can be compared across purchase only. My broker did a separate arrangement with a buyer for my trade-in (which was more than dealer quote. I got 9% when I ordered last March (without any Audi finance deal). Some on here at that time were getting up to 12%.

12% is a fantastic deal 😄

Well with the price increase, and decent discounts appearing less common,it may help residules 😄
