Hi,
New to forum, just taken delivery of new s-line plus and love it but shame there is no space wheel. Don't want to pay the stupid price from dealer for a collapsible spare wheel.
Been doing the usual trying to find one on the auction sites but not sure of right size for the Q5, has any one got one and can tell me the size?

The spare wheels for the Q5 are a standard size regardless of the wheel size on your car ~ The one size (18" rim) spare covers the 18" SE 19" & 20" S-line wheels ~ if fact all the models have the same rolling circumference hence the one spare:

The Specs:

Wheel is 6J R18, ET36 offset, 5x112 stud fitment

Vredestein Space Master collapsible tyre - size 195/75 - 18 106P

Good luck trying to find one ~ they are like "hens teeth" and on the odd time they do appear on ebay etc. they are snapped up pretty quickly. Expect to pay circa £250 on the auction sites.........

Cheers,

Lee.

Ps. You can't but a separate wheel and tyre ~ Audi have the sole rights for the tyre and apparently you need specialist kit to fit a collapsible tyre.

Lee,
Thanks for that, hopefully I will find one if not it will have to be the dealers price. Could not believe that if you order with the car £110.00 but afterwards from the parts depot its over £ 400.00, robbing sods.

I bought an S-line plus with the 170 Tdi but as it was already in dealer stock as an unregistered vehicle I could not buy the factory spare. The parts depot tell me the higher cost is because you need different panels to fit the tyre but as far as I can tell mine has already come with the required hole, it has the sub woofer amp under the floor pan that the spare locks under, however dealer still will not sell me just the wheel.
If I have no luck on auction sites think I will ring around the dealers.

The spare fits straight in the existing space in the boot; just screw the big nut on top of the sub-woofer, drop in the spare wheel (face down) and drop the sub-woofer in the inside of the spare wheel rim, nut back on and away you go........

I was in the same position, purchased the car without the spare ~ eventually managed to get one and it dropped straight in.

How long did you have to wait for the s line plus as I am waiting for mine to be delivered. I done the same as you and purchase one from the dealer they had already had at docks to ship. luckily mine has come with the wheel. Did you get a good price or pay over the top to jump the waiting time

Hi Kellyp,
I waited less than 2 weeks for my s-line plus, but dealer did have 2 others unregistered on their forecourt! I went for the one in group stock because it came with the panoramic roof, tech pack high, heated seats, 3 zone climate and black styling pack, got a good discount and paid around the same as a base s-line plus. pity it had no spare wheel but I will find one some where.

Bought from Harrogate Audi who seem to have a few unregistered Q5's in stock.

Hi st2012

that sounds like a cracking deal wish I had not asked lol
I got the s line plus s tronic and would have been well happy to have taken that spec. I ended up with basic s line pus s tronic with spare wheel and B&O sound pack. I paid £36k so not bad but would have liked your extra's
