Hi All,

I'm a new member here and, all things being well, hope to pick up my 2011 Q5 2L TDI S-Line Special Edition tomorrow (which I'm very excited about!).

I have a question, please (I did do a search but it seems a similar question was not answered): the car comes with single zone climate control. Is it possible to upgrade/retrofit dual zone CC? Or at least, is it possible to retrofit the dual zone unit to improve the look with digital temperature display? The car has the MMI 3G High with sat nav etc and control buttons around the gear lever. It's not exactly a big deal - just personal taste cosmetics, I guess.

Pretty much anything can be retrofitted by using new or second hand parts from a breaker.

A photo would help us understand exactly what you have and make it easier to advise.

Google search reveals that as well as the head unit extra sensors, blowers and coding is required via vcds. A huge job and the results have not been judged worthwhile due to problems encountered.

More reading has also led me to believe that the cost-benefit does not stack up so I shall leave as-is.
I picked up the car today and thoroughly enjoyed the 1.5 hour drive home! Hopefully, many more smiley miles ahead

Fitting the dash unit gives the look, with minimal trouble. Maybe worth a try at the right price.
