Hi everyone,

I'm due for delivery of my car in the next week or so and I was wondering about servicing. Does anyone know if it's worth taking the service pack (service and consumables) or not ?
As the Q5 tells me when it will needs serviced (it does doesn't it ???), does this mean that i might only get 1 service during the 3 year service pack duration, or do i get an annual service as part of the agreement ? I'm guessing that if it's the latter, then the package would be a good buy, but if it's dependent on the car's say so, it might be a poor deal...

I'm likely to do about 12k per year and it's a 3.0 TDI SE. Service pack costs about ?850 (if i remember correctly ???)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi Mike
My local VW dealer (Verve) who is also an Audi authorised service dealer, they only sell new VW cars and not Audi's but can carry out the servicing for new Audi's under the Audi warranty. They charge ?399.00 for the first Two services and the first MOT, a good bit less than the main Audi dealer.
When my new Q5 arrives this month I will be taking out this service package with Verve, I know the quality of their workshop as thats where my last three new cars came from.

Hi Bill,

That's great. I'll maybe have a quick shop around and see what other options i have. Only drawback is that there aren't that many dealers (manufacturer / independent) up here. Still... I'll check it out some more.

Thanks,

Mike.
