Hi All
Found two small faults with my new Q5,
sometimes in the morning when I click in my seat belt and try to drive away the automatic handbrake will not release on checking further I noticed that the seatbelt light had not gone out even when the belt was clipped in properly, shaking the clip about puts the light out and the handbrake releases as it should. I think the small switch attached to the seatbelt clip is sticking or faulty, the other small fault is the Ashtray sits down on the left hand side, it has not been correctly fitted at the factory. Have booked the car in for inspection, and if parts are required they will order them.

Thanks Kaine

Found the problem with the ash tray, it was the panel surrounding the gear shift, it hadn't been pushed down into it's clip on the left side, thats fixed the ashtray problem, and I have sprayed some silicon spray into the offending seatbelt clip to see how that goes. I have the car booked in at the dealers on Friday just in case.

Hi All

Cancelled my appointment with the Audi dealer as the silicon spray worked a treat, the seatbelt light switch in the belt clip must have been sticking and one squirt of the spray has done the business, handbrake releases automatically every I drive off.
