MMI is on all Q5's regardless of which model or spec.

in portugal mmi is an extra. The screen is only a radio display if no mmi is bought. Lucky UK ppl

is it not just an extra with the 2 different sat nav systems.

yes, i guess i cant call it mmi if it doesnt have navigation though. the question is, can i access the sd card reading function without the mmi controls? after all its just a display

I think you will find that it does have MMI,you just access it through the stereo controls,i have not ordered any of the sat nav options but still have mmi.If you can download a brochure from the portuguese web site have a look under the standard spec and im sure it is included.

im reading the UK manual posted on this forum, but still no precise information about my question. If it has a "media" button we will be allright for sd cards. only the navigation system has all those controls. blargh

5 months to arrive ive been told. not ordered yet though. still planning
