Hi

Just had my callipers professional resprayed and the idiots have dropped one of the rear callipers smashing the motor plastic part, then trying to spray over it.

Needless to say I am not impressed.

Can you just buy the motor or will I need a new entire calliper ?

Thanks

We spotted it and he's trying to get out of it saying it was already there !!

The car is only 18 months old with a 5 yr warranty.

Not happy

The motor is demountable from the caliper so you should be able to buy it. As far as I can tell it's not available in the aftermarket so it's probable that it's a dealer only part.

BTW I also think that if you take the motors off then there is a recalibration that you need to do to reset the rear calipers. AFAIK taking the motor off free's the self adjuster for the rear pads. If this moves then the pad - disc distance changes and may need to be re-set.

I also read that they are not cheap.
