I will soon be having my 2.0tdi remapped, hopefully by Celtic tuning who did my previous car, I can either have a economy map which will boost the figures from 174 bhp up to 206 and take the torque from 280 lb/ft up to 328 or the stage 1 map will take the BHP from 174 up to 228 and the torque from 280 up to 361. The maps are written by themselves rather than just a generic ecu file.
You think this is a small gain and not worth doing?, interesting, when I had my old Mercedes done it made a massive difference to the overall drive of the car. What sort of figures would you expect from a ecu map then? Alway interested to listen to opinions.
Go for it if you think its worth it. If this is an actual remap of the ECU I would recommend getting a proper tune done that is tailored to your specific vehicle, rather than a generic tune slapped on for your Q5/car model. Check out www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk etc No experience of CelticTuning so cant comment on them. Don't forget to update your insurance details
I have had MTM remaps on my Audi's for the last 25 years. MTM work very closely with Audi which gives me extra confidence. Their web site is www.mtm-online.de and their UK installer is QS Tuning in Haywards Heath. I have never had any problems with their remaps and, as QS Tuning have a four wheel drive rolling road, it does as it says on the tin.
