Made the leap and ordered a Q5 for January delivery!

Hill Hold
Arm Rest
Privacy Glass

Roll on January! Something I didn't notice is there a 12V socket in the boot? Something I find very useful for
charging up laptops etc whilst on the move.

Yes there is a power socket in the boot and also one in the back for the rear passengers.

Out of interest, do you have any idea as to Build Week? Mine is to be built week 50 for January delivery. Cannot wait!!

I emailed the dealer yesterday to see if they had a build/delivery date yet, but I haven't had a response yet.

I have been told delivery will be early January, which is a bit of a pain because of the VAT increase.

I see you have wk50 build date, just out of interest when did you order your car? That may give me an idea
of a build date for mine?

I ordered mine 22 August, 2009. I think that build week has something to do with dealer allocation, so it may not be quite so straight forward. Would be interested to hear your update.

On VAT, it has been suggested that it rather depends on when vehicle is in the country. I have offered to pay all of the money up front prior to 31 December, 2009 in order to get at the old rate. I do not see why this cannot be treated as a 100% pre-payment.

I wonder whether anybody else has a view on this?

I've just had the dealer on phone and my car is been built in week 47 and delivery will be week 49 which is a lot earlier than I thought! So basically he reckons I will have the car in the first week of December, Christmas really has come early this year!

Which country are you in? Cos I ordered my car last week in Sydney and the arriving dates are around June 2010.
2.0T, Ice Silver, Xenon lights, 20'alloy, AMI, 3 zone air con. WHat do you think of the colour? Haven't seen alot of Q5 in silvers?

I am in Scotland. I was torn between Ice Silver and Datona Pearl Grey. Ended up ordering the latter, but it was a close call between the two!!

we thought we had a long time to wait for our Q5 up in Scotland but your wait takes the biscuit.

and a lot quieter than I expected, cant wait to get it run in I always like to be careful on the throttle for the first 500 miles, (Old School) will post more pictures of the full car when I get to a scenic view.
