Hi

I have finally taken delivery of my Q5 2.0 tdi sline and am extremely pleased.
Unfortunately car was 2 weeks late but my audi dealer looked after me and supplied me with an A4 avant until mine arrived.
My Q5 is pearlesent black with 20 inch RS4 alloys which really set the car off and the ride is good, ive heard some stories of a harsh ride but this is certainly not the case. The s tronic gear box is smooth, I also had dab radio fitted which has aprox 72 pre set stations, the reception is very clear.Glad we chose the sline the led lights and grill make the car stand out and it looks so much better than the se.The 1 zone climate is ok,we also speced interior light pack auto hold and privacy glass.Build quality is superb.
All in all this is the best car I have purchased the build quality is superb and im just hoping we have years of trouble free motoring ahead.

Hi Louis,

I'm about the drop the hammer on a Q5 S-line.

However i'm a bit concerned about the alloys.
I presently have a Mk2 TT S-line with 19" RS4s which love the kurbs.......

I would like to go for the RS6 style 20" alloys, but was just wondering how they are with kurbing etc.
Did you have any problem thus far?

I'm in Switzerland, and so do mountain/snow driving etc. so a bit of tyre in between the rim and road really help

Thanks,

Phil.

Phil,

I don't know much about the driving condition in Switzerland, but here in Norway we use winter tyre from nov-mars. I ordered the standard 17" 6 spoke 235/65 for the winter tyre, and 20" 7 spoke alloy for the summer tyre. I asume I will pick up my 2.0 tdi s-line s tronic next saturday, can't wait

Hi Roger,

Yeah it's the same for us here, bus as there's still plenty of snow in the mountains till Easter (end of the skiing season) we usually leave them on until then.

In the meantime, I got the chance to look at a number of Q5s with 20", and was happy with the tyre coverage. I've therefore gone for them (20" RS6 style), however now i've got to figure out whether to change the wheels and tyres, or just the tyres.

Fingers crossed, it should arrive in March!

Hi Philh

Unfortunately have a few kurb marks already. The tyres are low profile so it can be very easy to mark the alloys and we are both parking very carefully. They are not to bad so will have to just put up with it.
Still the 20 inch RS4 alloys really set the car off so am happy I chose them.
