Rahoo - discounts have been on the table for a few months (I mentioned somewhere). My neighbour runs a leasing firm and he told me he'd already been advised to hold off for the discounts - I wasn't 100% sure his info was right, however he seems clued up and now has been proven right

yep, Touareg trade in's are awful (like all 4x4's at the moment) - waiting until the new year is a good move as I think a few things will change to help resale values (like new car prices going up for one)
