Looks great, glad you're happy with it

I like the side by side size comparison with the Q7 and also how much baby stuff you can get in the boot!
The seats look grey rather than black or is that just the light/flash -edited to say I see you ordered grey. Ithough you could only order the S-Line with black seats - obviously not!
Also, more importantly, how's the suspension/ride??

Andy - I got Black/Alcantara combination and its very comfortable, I am just surprised at the differences from standard spec Q7 to Q5. the ride is a bit harder than I expected but seats are better than the Q7

what I like
MMI 3D view - excellent and sat nav with everything on the maps...
10GB Jukebox - easy to transfer the music to the hard drive even the wife can do it !
The Key (just like A5) you plug in and it starts !
Reverse Camera - nice !
The feel of the cabin is much more luxurious than the Q7
LED Lights rear and front...its very imposing
The Free Roof Rails in the boot of the car !
S-tronic, it feels quicker than my old TTR
1 zone air con, for the size of the cabin it is perfect

Whats annoying
No air suspension
Ride harder than Q7
Smaller than I thought when driving
Not electric seats so difficult to get correct position at the moment
No air cooler in the glove box and doesn't auto lock with car you have to lock with key
Rear seat bench doesn't move (thats an extra)
Storage in seat appaling
No aux heater for cold mornings

if you speced up the Q5 with what is standard with the Q7 it would be more expensive than that

Very nice Rahoo I like the alcantara/leather seats (wish i hadn't listened to my salesman who persuaded me all leather was better!)and you are also right about the 3G mmi, despite what people say it is worth the extra, especially when combined with the tech pack.

Your boot looks like mines going to be in a few weeks time! When you see all the photos with empty boots it's hard to visualise how much everyday stuff it will hold, your photos certainly help, thanks.

Keep us up to date on any other nice/not so nice features you discover over the next week or so!

Mine gets built this week, so it's too late to change anything, but it's just nice to know how good an suv it actually is!

All sounds pretty positive Rahoo except for the hard ride. Look forward to hearing more as you get time driving it (sorry, him!)
Mine arrived at the dealer yesterday but it will probably be Friday before I have a chance to pick it up.

wife is undecided at the moment, she loved the space in the Q7 so its going to be a while till she is in love with it, just the ride height is smaller , but loves the gadgets I got in there..no pleasing some people is there!

Congrats Rahoo
The 3 Zone climate does give you cold air in the glove box and I must say I like the individual control it gives you especially as my wife is always colder than I am. I agree about the seats and getting optimum seat position ever after a month Im struggling to get the right combination electric would have been easier. The MMI 3D Sat Nav is a real pleasure to use and as you say the standard sound system with jukebox great. Everyone comments about the LED lights which really set the car off and the S-Tronic almost never gets caught out like the auto box on my BMW 5-Series sometimes did (quick pull outs on busy roundabouts etc) Cabin construction is faultless and feels expensive.
The damm firm ride is the single biggest weakness of this car and one I feel Audi will need to address going forwards.

with reference to the s-tronic, whats the best way to drive it, as I find it very jumpy and not smooth (the wife agrees) are you supposed to use the paddle tio change gear?
