Called at the dealers today and when we had a look on the 'Dialogue' system it said that my order was at 'Checkpoint 5'. I was told that this was 5 of 8 but does anyone know what the specific checkpoints relate to?

There were also fields for date at shipping port and date for arrival port - clearly empty at this moment in time.

It was new to me Kaine until I saw it on the screen.

Not much on the net about it either. I did see a post that listed all but the first three steps but I can't find it again

I think checkpoint 5 was leaving the paint shop, 6 was fitting out and 8 was final inspection and shipping preparation. I'm guessing the first three stages relate to panel pressing and body assembly.

Main thing is it is on the way

sounds like a good idea.

I spent some time on the AUDI stand at Goodwood on Sunday talking with one of the AUDI chaps. I don't know his position, however he was very knowledgable and very upto speed with the current Q5 delivery issues. I won't go into everything he hinted, however he said the pending changes will make things a lot lot better

From what I can make out it is about ready for, or in, the paint shop.
