why? you haven't even got the car yet? Isn't it powerful enough? Do they offer FULL warranty (i.e. engine rebuild) if there is any failure as AUDI will reject to repair even if the failure was not related

Thank you for your constructive comments. I am fully aware of warranty issues. Ther question I asked was .."has anybody tried it"....

I haven't got the Q5 yet (still negotiating), but I have tried a variety of tuning boxes in my pickup truck....Most are a bit fuzzy and can cause additional smoke and even engine warning lights...

I've now done about 14k without any problems using the DTE Systems PDI chip in my Navara which (proven on the rolling road) has taken mine up from 169bhp to 214bhp. In addition I now have 470Nm compared to 405Nm as stock. It has paid back for itself in less than 3 months as my fuel consumption improved by 18%...So yes I am converted but are also wary of people who just rebadge and sell without knowing what they do....This market is a mine field...

Like the previous poster I would ask why you go down this road and not one provide by Audi which keeps the warranty....When I test drove the 2.0TDI I love it around town and the lanes, but it just ran out of steam on the motorway and overtaking...So my Audi dealer suggested to go to the Wayside tuning department which do a remap that is approved by Audi....

My wife and I decided (it is her car) after a test drive with the 3.0TDI that it would be better to go with a more powerful engine since the option is there....
