Hi all,

I am looking to buy a outdoor car cover to cover my q5 as my house doesn't have a garage and kids from neighbours were playing water guns today, spraying the water onto my lovely 1 week old Q5. I didn't want to make too much of a fuss because they are small children and they were only having fun chasing after each other.

But it makes me think that I should buy a cover for my q5 anyways just to guard it against rain and dust etc...

Any good ones to recommend?

Thanks

Kevin

I've never tried one, but I recall this being discussed on another forum.

The conclusion was that the problem with covers is that unless the car is spotlessly free from dust/road grime there is a significant risk that the cover will rub either putting it on/taking off or in the wind. Therefore damaging the paint as the dirt is ground into the paint.

So you could end up regretting it.

Thanks for your reply. It's a very good point! :)
