Great forum for someone like me who is about to order a Q5. I've managed to fill a lot of holes in my knowledge of the car and its specifications.
I still have a a few of those gaps though! I'm amazed that the brochure does not properly explain what all the options "do". For example, so many people here have ordered (and like) the rear bench seat - but I'm still not clear as to its function, so I don't know whether or not I need it. I hadn't even noticed the hill assist option in the options list until I read about it here (thanks all) and I'm pretty sure that I will order that now.
I was thinking though that it would be useful if current owners could post here a brief description of the value or otherwise of each option? Unless it's obvious of course. Even the three-zone climate control - I mean, I know what it does, but I've never owned it before and therefore never missed it... so is it worth the money and why?
Some specific 'wants' in terms of information for me would be (as indicated) the rear bench seat, the 3 zone climate, the audio options and the mobile phone options.
I've copied a list of options from a previous thread by Andy to save me typing them out again. Like I said, any info re purpose/value/usefulness would be great for me and other prospective buyers.
