I recently purchased a used 2018 Q5. I took it for the Maryland emissions test and the attendant said that there was a "tracker" attached to my ODB unit? He wasn't sure it was a tracker but he said he had to disconnect it before he could do the test and then he put it back in. Pictures attached. A little paranoid and not sure the attendant knew what he was talking about so I am asking here... Is this a tracker that was left from the original owner or is this something that is normal and part of Audi's ODB system?

Not seen that before. I would suggest you ask whoever you bought car from.

I would remove the trim to discover what it is connected to. In the mean time I would leave it unplugged.
