Hi all:
New member here. I just picked up my new 2014 lava gray Q5 w/ premium plus today. Love the car.

I've been going through the manual and familiarzing myself with the car, and also going through some of the threads on this forum.

I went through most the manual and did a search here but I still couldn't figure something out (and I apologize if this is a silly question) : what are those notches in the headliner in the rear seat area for?? These are the notches next to the coat hooks, right above the rear doors. There's actually a picture of it on page 77 of my manual, which talks about the coat hooks, but there's nothing written about these notches.

Thanks for the help!

Hi. Welcome to the forum.

The notches above the front and rear seats are where the "partition net" or dog guard attaches.

Welcome. I'm pleased to see that SQ5 Nic managed to answer your question, as up until now I'd never noticed the notches. It goes to show that you never stop learning!

Dog guard ... wow, they think of everything, don't they? Thanks for all the replies.

In that case, shouldn't there be more than two?
...
Ah, you've got those bite marks on the back of the front headrests too?
