I'm not talking about the roof rails but the cross bars that fit into the roof rails so that you can fit a bike rack or roof box.

Is this a standard accessory ?

If not would anyone like to make me an offer for them as I have no need for them whatsoever. They are official Audi aluminium bars.

they are standard, as you can only use these ones on the Q5, when they are attached it automatically adjusts the esp program....like you ...mine will never even be opened....

Love the fact the cross bars come standard. I will be using mine as inside storage is limited.

Mine didn't come with any. Have they been deleted from the 2010 specs or has dealer forgot to supply them?

Mine were in the trunk on delivery. They're too bulky for you not to notice if you'd have gotten them.

The dealer has got them! They were taken out when the car was valeted then missplaced. I wonder how many other owners have not recieved theirs?

I'm collecting my Q5 next week. A while back people on the forum reported roof bars being supplied as standard by the dealer. Is this still the case?

The Sales Brochure clearly states roof bars are included. I'll be checking my boot for a set on Friday. If they are not there I will be staring at the rep until a set do appear.....

Does anyone know the total height with the roof bars mounted on the car?

The total height of a Q5 with the factory supplied roof bars fitted will be approximately 1.743Mtrs.

This is based on the published total height of the Q5 (see picture below) of 1.653Mtrs added to the additional height of the roof bars which I measure at approximately 9cm.

Please note that these measurements do not include any additional fixings on the roof bars.
