Where are you getting done? Expensive?

Ye it's a fair bit more than I wanted to pay ,but I've done a lot of research,geting quotes and going to premises to view the operation ,I've ended up going to a company in enfield called yanimize ,they do all footballer and celebrity's cars,they've got a massive portfolio ,give a 3 year guarantee on there work,they've got a gr8 rep,we had a
Little to and fro on price ,and cum to a deal,he doesn't need the work,he's booked up 3 months in advance,ine just got a canceled slot ,£2500 the whole job ,5days work ,a proper stealth look,will consider doing wheels gloss black once I get car back ,the current mite look ok,I'm not sure till it's all done ????

 

Sounds tasty! Price seems decent for the amount of work involved and a proper job.

Do you think you will be able to get some pics of the conversion whilst its being done?

 

I'm working away wile it's being done so I can't do any pics but I'll ask owner to do sum 4 me,I don't realy want to c the car in bits ,lol ????

 

Sounds very nice. How much were you steered by Yanimize, they must have some fab ideas regarding what looks right. I cant picture the black badges if I'm honest so hope there will be plenty pics

 

Well originaly I was keeping the chrome wich would have made the wrap £1700,but wile there saw a maclaren there done in satin mat with black surrounds and wheels and thought it lookd stealth,so went 4 that,then decided on doin calipers while it's there,if u google yanimize youl c all his work on Instagram fb,and website,he's got 86000 followers of his work,as far as black badges he recommended ????

 

Sounds good.... Price is fair TBH.. Look forward to seeing the pics... Enfield is only 20mins away from me so it may tempt me to have mine done...

If your going for the stealth look you should consider getting you front and rear lamps darkened?

 

spoke to him today ,ye he will b doing fotos of the job 4 his website,as 4 darkening the lights that's not a bit of me ????

 

Did he advise on the cleaning process once its on - just wondered if the wrap stood up to cleaning products - namely getting bugs, bird poo etc off the car. I'm on the coast so seagulls are a menace for cars and paint work

 

i never asked bout cleaning process,I guess he'll tell me wen i pik it up ????

looks a very good job but how resistant is the wrap to stone chipping

i have heard some horror story's about the paint pealing when removing or replacing damaged wrap on panels but granted this was a few years ago on some RS4s
do they give any guarantee aganst this

So does paint but it still has stone chips
my question is how heavy wearing is it as the site says in the FAQ's it last 3-5 years just curious if its as robust as the paint protection film

 

I have all my business cars wrapped (advertising) and its incredibly hard wearing. To chip the paint through the wrap you have to nail something pretty substantial, when the wraps come off for resale the paint on it so much better than the cars without.
Important note* cant stress this enough, DO NOT wrap any part of the bodywork that has even the smallest bit of corrosion or open chip on it, get it seen to first! Its something call CUI (corrosion under insulation) it'll do soooo much damage.

Not yet it goes in on the 26 th sep ,he said he'll do a video shoot of the job ,start to finish for the forum ,how u getting on with ur BEAST ????

 

 

They started 2day on the wrap,looking good,should have car bak bi wed,I'll put more fotos up as they send them 2 me ????

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. considering having mine wrapped aswell but would prefer something a bit less stealth.

 

He can do any colour u want,if u kept the chrome and didn't touch the grill it wouldn't b so stealthy,wat colour r u thinking ????

It was bought for the wife and she wants it white. You know what they say happy wife = happy life

I know I could have just bought a white one, but was getting fed up of looking for the right car at the right price.

 

 

Ye they send me pics every day,starting the gloss black today,then calipers 2mro,can't wait to get it back,I'm currently driving a4 2litre diesel 62 plate,it's had a remap and I've got 2 say very impressive power and drive,Marvo on juice,I'm not feeling the need 2 constantly floor it though,as I'm missing that sq exhaust note,lol,roll on Wednesday day wen I pik up SQ ????

 

Had price for tinting rear lights wile it was there ,however I thought £300 was a bit strong,so politely declined ????
