Good morning All, looking at purchasing a Meguiars G220V2 will all accessories to start learning on the machine polishing, does any one have any experience on this unit or views and tips on dual action machines ?

All the best Merlin, ps just looking for a better finish and removal of slight swirls etc

This is a better option DAS PRO6 with microfiber pads and P1 and better to use.

From what I know, polishing especially machine polishing is to bring old paint back to new by an abrasive action. It's not for new cars. For new cars, its clay bar and waxing. I am not an expert but someone else must know.

Sorry your mistaken single stage polish is standard on new cars before LSP.
I would never use a Clay Bar without deionizing first nor would I use a Wax.
Your thinking maybe of a Correction Polish.

Nice pictures. I now need to find a good detailer in my area. Near J5 on the M3. Any recommendations?

A da is a great way to start to keep your swirls to a minimum - make sure you check out lots of links on what pads/ polishes etc and always start with least abrasive and work up from there both in pads and polishes ... Rupes do a great machine Bigfoot and a range of polishes as well

Just purchased a Meguiars G220V2 today from Ultimate Finish, nice bit of kit should be on its way by end of the week, then try out on the Misses car weekend, think i will stay away from the SQ until ive mastered it !!
