Good morning LED, yes there is , i have had it done, you have to use Vagcom cable and computer, its in the hidden menu but requires experts to install, only takes minutes if you know someone local.

Using a VCDS cable, go to 5F module and then go to the long codding options.

IMO, the rear led have very poor visibility in daytime.

You took the words right out of my mouth - I want me rear LEDs on all of the time too.

Anyone got a price for this please?

The proper Rosstech cable is £230 to do it yourself (amongst a million other tweaks). Or a willing local friend/independent VAG specialist it will cost you between £10 and a box of beer per tweak...

shabazmo is about 20 mins West of you. He offered me the use of his Vagcom (which I haven't taken him up on yet), so I will be cheeky and say if you PM him he will likely be happy to do this for you in exchange for beer tokens

will do - but would tinkering with such stuff void your warranty and would it be detected when Audi service it?

When your car gets an upgrade it will wipe the changes...
It won't void the warranty (although if you broke something they will charge you to fix it if course!).
The can't detect you have been in there, although it will be obvious if your rear LEDs are on all the time!

Been away a while... :)... Asked my dealer (Audi West London) to do this, and they refused as it meant running in "Scandinavian Mode', which may change other settings like sat nav, radio and 'other electrical components', which they would strongly discourage'. Anyone able to do it for beers, wine or spirits in the Richmond/Bracknell/Reading...London ish area...?

Agree with Missile, a complete load of b*ll*cks. They'll be telling you next that you'll have to drive on the right hand side after they do it!

got a £20 cable off amazon and after installing it on a laptop, it took me literally 5 mins to make the change in the car
I also enabled the MMI menu option to make the DRLs switchable as well
